Review a short video’s captions before publishing.
Prepare checks for names, numbers and uncertain wording before reusing a video on your website or social channels.
A review table with source cue references, proposed corrections and passages to replay, followed by a human check of the rendered video.
What you need
An authorized 30–60 second video, its existing SRT or VTT captions and an approved glossary of names and products. Share only the necessary text with an approved assistant; keep the audio for human verification. This pilot transcribes no video and installs no Overtone software. The source documentation separates words, timing and layout; its full language rules cover English and Dutch. Have French captions reviewed by a proficient person. Corrected text does not guarantee synchronization or accessibility in the final render.
Getting started
- Choose a clip already cleared for release, preserve the original captions, and prepare the glossary and intended viewing formats.
- Request proposed changes that retain the supplied cue numbers and timestamps. Separate glossary mismatches from words that need an audio check.
- Replay the whole clip and check every proposal. Apply only confirmed changes to a copy, then watch the horizontal and vertical versions on a phone before approving publication.
